Wedding Week... Weather = AMAZING
If you aren't in Seattle, you are missing out on the AMAZING weather we are having. There is no complaining here! This week is full of another family wedding. My big brother is getting married this coming Sunday and my parents/grandparents are coming into town tomorrow for the week. It is going to be a blast celebrating all together again. Also this week my good friend Dave from Chicago is staying with us. It's already been good to catch up with him and how life in the Windy city is. He is actually here to work on the book he is writing so that's been fun to learn more about. I'll let you know when it's published! Enjoy your monday!

What a Weekend
This weekend was a blast. Saturday I planned my brothers Bachelor party and we had a great time. It has become a tradition in the family that part of the Bachelor party is on the Paintball Field. So for the second time this year a group of us headed out for a couple of hours and just let loose. I have to say I can definitely see Paintball becoming a hobby. We had a small group of guys so the games were fast paced and a ton of variety, from terminator to bounty hunter and even a little Halo action. I had a video camera mounted to my gun, so as soon as I get the footage from Kyle, I will post for all to see. Today was a low key day with the family, full of rest and relaxation.
I hope your weekends were as fun as mine was.

Ernie + Kim: Wedding
I always love going back to Colorado! I get to see my folks, my grandparents, friends and those beautiful Rocky Mountains. It's even more exciting when you get to shoot a wedding is those mountains, well the foothills. Last Saturday I had the honor of spending the day with Ernie and Kim for their amazing wedding. The weather was perfectly HOT, 95 degrees, and the celebration was filled with tears, laughter, smiles and excitement. I've known the Findell family since I was a little boy, so seeing them was a lot of fun. It brings back so many memories. They are truly an amazing, genuine family.Ernie & Kim, I wish you all the best. Thank you for letting me be a part of your miraculous day.Do you think he was just a little nervous?A brother/sister moment that words cannot describe. The view from the reception. The sun, the moon and everything in between.Hoping his answer is right.Honeymoon here we come!

Setting Your Mind
I am a true believer in "You can do anything, if you set your mind to it". Growing up as a kid I always wanted to be some sort of mechanic. I would always take things apart to figure out how they worked and put them back together. I even planned that I would be a mechanical engineer when I grew up. The last part didn't come true, and I would trade what I am doing now for the world, but I am still always taking things apart and trying to fix them.
The one thing I never got take apart or work on much was cars. The only thing I knew about cars was how to change oil, fix a flat, and rotate tires. I never fixed engines with my dad in the garage, or changed brakes on the cars....UNTIL this weekend. The brakes on Katey's car need to be replaced and the places I called and talked to wanted at least $300. I decided that I would change the brakes myself, it couldn't be that hard. With a little help from google, a phone call to a family mechanic friend back in CO, I changed the brakes myself. It was actually really easy and it only cost me $60!
Look out, I'm on a roll now...Next up rebuilding that '69 Chevy Camero SS I've always wanted!!!

Matt + Heather: Engagement
Yesterday, I got to shoot an engagement session with Matt & Heather. I love these sessions cause it gives us a chance to really connect together. I met Heather & Matt at BJ & Rachel's wedding a little over a month and a half ago and we instantly connected. When we met up yesterday at Kerry Park they told me they wanted their pictures to say Seattle, Their Love for the City, Their Love for Each Other, etc... all in a way that wasn't your traditional sitting on the ledge with the skyline in the background. Can you feel the love they have for each other? I can't wait for their wedding, they are going to be a stunning Bride and Groom.I love this shoot.Matt's Favorite Moment of Heather :)My Favorite Moment of the afternoon...
