Sweet Trailer... More to Come

My buddy Kyle from Blackout Creations just posted a sweet video trailer from the wedding I shot down in San Diego. Him and his crew were down there doing the videography for the wedding. What is cool about working closely with a video company is that they can offer their Brides & Grooms so much more by incorporating the photos into the video as well. Enjoy! To see a higher quality version, click here.

Simple Update.... Featuring!

I just finished a complete update to my website. No layout changes, just some added features that are going to take it to the next level. The first thing you will notice is the addition of a fun music player. I want to give a big thanks to two artist that are allowing me to feature them on my site. The first one is Trace Bundy, who is an amazing guitarist from Boulder, CO. If you haven't seen this guy go check out his site, all I can say is "Amazing!" The other artist is a good friend of mine, Robby Kang. If you're a musician and would like your work featured on my site, shoot me an email. Another cool feature to the site is that it's now setup to have videos on it as well. Stay tuned for the videos they're not on there yet!! Right now I've got my video buddy Kyle from Blackout Creations working on some fun videos he shoot with me from a couple weddings last year and engagement sessions. Go check it out. I'll let you all know when the videos are there! Happy Friday.

Makes Me Melt

Yesterday I took the day off from any sort of work and just played with Ez. We've been having lots of fun playing with tools, cars, a bouncy ball, peek-a-boo, and of course wrestling. I couldn't help but have the camera out to snap some shots of us playing together. I got this shot while we were playing with his toy tool set. If those eyes don't make a fathers' heart melt every time I look at them, then I don't know what will. I'm honored, humbled, awe-struck that God chose me to raise this guy. I love him so much.

Valentines Gift

If many of you are like me, I love receiving gifts. It doesn't have to be large, just something that comes from the heart. This past week was Valentines Day and what I love about this day is the chance to get a gift that says "love". My wife loves flowers and so I got here a bunch of Tulips and chocolate. She loved them!!! I love giving her flowers cause she puts them in a vase on the kitchen table where we enjoy them at every meal. Enjoying them more then giving them is the best part. Now I want to offer a gift to those newly engaged couples. From now until the end of the month, I am offering a FREE Coffee table photo book with all my packages. This is a beautifully crafted Black Linen covered book featuring your favorite images. If you or a friend of yours got engaged on Valentines Day, contact me before February 29 and you will receive this great gift as part of your wedding day package!Happy Valentines Day!

Fighting Cough

This week Ez has been fighting a cold that decided to come back. He had a little runny nose at the beginning of last week and then got over it. But Sunday it seemed to come back. It's really hard to hear his little cough and not be able to do anything. The worst part is hearing him coughing in the middle of the night and know that each time he coughs he wakes up. So not only is he fighting this cold, he also isn't getting much sleep then. But the amazing thing is that even with this cold he keeps on playing and laughing and wanting to wrestle me to the ground. This pic was a couple weeks ago, during lunch time when he wanted to eat my nose. Each day is so amazing that I can only be thankful. Just pray the cold will go away so he can be 100%.

Kyle & Jenny: Engagement (Part 2)

A couple of weekends ago when I was down in CA, we went out and did a night shoot and DJ showed us some tricks with off camera lighting. I was excited to get out and try some of these techniques. So saturday night I had scheduled my second engagement shoot of the day with Kyle & Jenny. You might have seen a post last month about their first engagement shoot but I scheduled another one with them cause the first one was way too cold to spend much time together. So Saturday we headed downtown to do some fun stuff and boy was it fun. Using only available light and some fill light there's not telling where you can shoot and what will be the outcome. It was still really cold out but not as cold as the first time. We came prepared for the cooler temp. Kyle & Jenny, thanks for being so willing to bare the cold yet again and also having to be still in one place!

Kelley & Kelly: Engagement

Saturday morning I had the opportunity to spend some time with an awesome couple. Kelley and Kelly are so much fun to be around. Most morning session have to start with a cup of coffee but this wasn't just any ordinary coffee stop. It actually turned into a quick detour for some hair product. Not for me, Kelley wanted to know what I used and so I took them to Fred Meyers to show him what I use. It was fun to just spend some time together even before shooting. I love all the different experiences I get to have with the couples I work with. This one was definitely an unforgettable one for me. I am almost embarrassed to even bring this up but it was funny at the time and even now when I look back on it. Toward the end of our time together, I sort of climbed into some bushes/trees to get this great shot of them and when I came out I noticed out of the corner of my something white on my shoulder. Yep you guess it, a bird pooped on me! I had no rag or anything to wipe it off so the next 30-45 mins I kept on shooting. How many photographers can share that story? Thanks guys for rolling right along with it. It made this shoot one I won't forget too soon!I can't wait for your wedding. It is going to be a blast spending your special day with you.

Super Bowl Review

I am a diehard Seattle Seahawk's fan but any football game that's on, I will watch. To be honest, this year I really didn't care much about the Super Bowl until last weekend. I met my new friend Andre Valenzuala at the Freedom and Slumber event last weekend and he is a NY Giants fan. So I found myself yesterday pulling for the Giants. I have to admit it as one of the best games of football I have seen in a long time. You could tell that the Giants really wanted that win, just by the intensity they played with. It's a tradition that we watch the game at my brothers house and so that always make it fun to be with family and friends. This was Ez's first Super Bowl game and he really liked it, except for the last few minutes of the game. When the Giants scored that touchdown everyone jumped up and yelled and it that scared him to tears. I'm looking forward to many more Super Bowl games with him and that time to spend with him. It's something my father and I did, and it's something Ez and I will do. Until next season, Go Seahawks!
